I was yelled at by a random woman.
March 28, 2007 on 8:38 am | In General Nonsense |Every day, usually just before my alarm, I am woken up by approximately 10 lbs. of the loudest thing you ever heard. I listen to Tekey, because if I don’t get up then I will have to steam the carpet. She’s old and can’t hold it very long.
So I get up and pull on some clothes, put on my glasses and shoes, and head out with her. Usually before I even have a chance to use the bathroom myself. I take care to carry her down the stairs, to the corner and across the street to the nearest patch of grass so she doesn’t give up and relieve herself on the brick walk between my apartment and there.
I set her down and she starts to urinate. I still have sleep in my eyes, I yawn and turn away. I feel the tension change on her 6-foot lead and we start to walk. Just then a woman in an SUV yells at me, “Ya’ll gonna clean that up?!”
WTF? “Clean what up?”, I replied, and waved my plastic baggie at her. What does she expect me to do, shovel up the divot she peed on? Perhaps she didn’t understand that geriatric, female chihuahuas squat to pee.
Plus, she’s driving an SUV. Is she gonna clean THAT up? She’s doing far more damage to her precious Celebration, FL with that than Tekey might do with a 2 oz. poop. Worst case would be that grass is a little greener there tomorrow.
