Short-chained at the Kingdom
September 18, 2005 on 6:04 am | In General Nonsense | Comments OffI was trying to work greeter for the parade exit (and eventually, the fireworks exit) tonight but this new guy Doug positioned himself in front of me at the “point.” I don’t know what else to call it. He was standing where the queue splits, instead of the usual car-4-greet, where I was, or car-5-greet positions.
I had enough of that, especially since Carlos was only putting like 50 people in the back half of the train.. so I put the chain up while Doug was distracted and walked away. The chain JUST fit.
I was laughing with Bonnie and noticed he was having difficulty removing the chain. He even had a guest give it a go! hahaha. Meanwhile, Carlos had dropped the rope separating 4 and 5 and directed guests around the mess.
I made eye contact with Doug and he called me over, so I made for the cab to cut through Pink and get water. Tom needed a bump, so I took the train instead.
Bonnie just told me in chat, “OMG– Tom had to get it off– you were already in the train it took that long.” Beautiful!
