Read the "Friendly" Signs

I worked at exterior unload at TTC for most of my shift tonight. I went over to concourse to get a drink and a family of five or six was struggling up the ramp there. The first member asked me, “how many stops to the Grand Floridian?” *sigh*

I explain that this one goes to Epcot, and the one over there goes to Magic Kingdom, so they need to go back down the ramp and come up where the sign reads “RESORT HOTELS.” One of the women was walking with a cane and having a hard time getting up the ramp, so I offered a courtesy wheelchair. They took two.

About twenty minutes later they are stepping off an Express train, with Stan trying to explain how they can get to Resort. I recognized them right off… Stan was trying to get them to go around (again) but they were bitching that “They” sent them to the wrong train. That’s when I stepped in.

“No, I didn’t. I was here. I told you to take the resort monorail.”

They pretty much ignored me and insisted that we let them cut through express this time. Stan kinda put me on the spot: “Should we send them through?” he asked.

I politely took them through an exterior train and put them on resort directly, but not without mentioning that they, “should read the signs at the bottom of the ramp; it’ll save you a lot of walking.”
